Application background of passport scanner
An electronic passport is an electronic chip embedded on the cover of a traditional passport or on one of its pages. It stores abundant personal information such as the passport's name, sex, date of birth, photographic images, signatures, fingerprints and so on in the chip. Since May 15, 2012, China's public security departments have begun issuing ordinary electronic passports to ordinary citizens. Since 2004, more than 90 countries and regions have issued electronic passports. With the popularity of electronic passport at home and abroad, a large number of electronic passport reading equipment applications have been promoted. In this context, our company independently developed and launched a passport scanner.
Overview of passport scanner products
The passport scanner is a lightweight and beautiful device for identifying documents. It is equipped with a 3-megapixel high-definition imaging system and can identify multiple identity documents using TH-OCR technology. It can read the electronic passport, visa and other travel documents in accordance with ICAO DOC 9303 standard. It can also be equipped with domestic second generation card reader to expand the application field. It supports automatic triggering of certificates and is easy to operate. It is very suitable for frontier checkpoints, customs, airports, entry and exit administration and other places.

E-passport chip reading, can read the ICAO DOC 9303 electronic passport international standard passport, visa and other travel documents;
- Multiple certificate identification (OCR), using TH-OCR identification core, can identify identity cards, driver's license, passport, Hong Kong and Macao pass, Taiwan cell card, travel permit and other identity documents;
Second-generation card chip reading (optional), built-in second-generation card reading module, can directly read the second-generation card chip information, expanding the domestic application;
3 million pixel high definition imaging, physical resolution of 390dpi, to meet user image archiving requirements;
